2. Description of Service

AppianVerse is an online platform designed for Appian interview preparation and certification study. The Service includes, but is not limited to:

• Interview Questions — Community-contributed interview questions organized by role (Junior, Senior, Lead/Architect) and category
• Practice Certification Exams — Timed mock exams for Appian certifications (ACD101, ACD201, ACD301) with multiple question types including single choice, multiple choice, match-the-list, and drag-and-drop
• Flashcards — Interactive flashcard study tools for quick review of Appian concepts
• Real Interview Experiences — User-submitted interview stories, preparation tips, and company-specific insights
• Exam Study Guide — Structured learning modules and roadmaps for certification preparation
• Gamification — Points, levels, daily streaks, achievements, and leaderboard rankings to encourage participation
• Bookmarks & Dashboard — Personal tools for saving questions, tracking submissions, and monitoring progress
• Stress Manager — A browser-based stress-relief tool ("Desktop Destroyer") featuring a virtual destruction sandbox, breathing exercises, and productivity tips. Users may optionally upload a personal image (processed locally in-browser only) to use as the destruction surface.
• Confessions — An anonymous confession wall where signed-in users may post short personal confessions and replies. Posts are displayed without any author name or profile link. See Section 19.

3. User Content and Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for all content you submit, post, or display on or through the Service ("User Content"), including interview questions, interview experiences, exam feedback, comments, and profile information. You agree not to post, upload, transmit, share, store, or otherwise make available on the Service any content that:

• Is false, misleading, or inaccurate
• Violates any law, regulation, or third-party right
• Contains sensitive, confidential, or proprietary information
• Infringes upon intellectual property rights
• Contains viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Manipulates or games the points, streak, or leaderboard systems
• Constitutes spam, duplicate submissions, or low-quality content intended solely to earn gamification rewards

4. User-Generated Content License

By submitting User Content (including interview questions, interview experiences, comments, and feedback), you grant AppianVerse a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, display, reproduce, modify, and distribute your User Content in connection with the Service. This license allows us to:

• Display your submitted questions and interview experiences to other users
• Include your content in study materials, flashcards, and exam preparation resources
• Moderate, edit, or format your content for clarity and consistency
• Attribute content to your username or display it anonymously per your submission settings

All User Content goes through an approval process. We reserve the right to approve, reject, or remove any submission at our sole discretion. Submission of content does not guarantee publication.

5. Practice Exams and Certification Content

The practice certification exams (ACD101, ACD201, ACD301) provided on AppianVerse are unofficial study tools and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Appian Corporation or any official certification body. By using the practice exam features, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Practice exam questions are created for educational purposes only and do not represent actual certification exam content
• Scores, passing thresholds, and performance metrics on practice exams do not guarantee results on official Appian certification exams
• You will not reproduce, distribute, screenshot, or share practice exam questions outside the platform
• You will not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or extract exam content
• Exam attempts, scores, and performance data may be collected for analytics and platform improvement purposes
• Practice exam availability, question content, and scoring criteria may change without notice

6. Gamification, Points, and Leaderboard

AppianVerse includes a gamification system with points, levels, daily streaks, achievements, and leaderboard rankings. By participating, you agree that:

• Points, levels, streaks, and achievements have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed, transferred, or exchanged
• We reserve the right to modify point values, level thresholds, streak mechanics, and achievement criteria at any time without notice
• We may reset, adjust, or revoke points and achievements if we determine they were earned through manipulation, spam, or abuse
• Leaderboard rankings are calculated based on internal criteria and may be adjusted to ensure fairness
• Accounts found to be gaming the system (e.g., creating duplicate accounts, submitting low-quality content for points) may be suspended or terminated

7. Account Security and Authentication

You may create an account using email/password or Google OAuth. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Ensuring your account information (email, username) is accurate and up to date

You may not create multiple accounts, impersonate other users, or use another person's account without permission. We reserve the right to require email verification and may suspend unverified accounts.

9. Intellectual Property

All platform content, design, code, logos, and branding created by AppianVerse are the intellectual property of AppianVerse and its creators. "Appian" and related certification names are trademarks of Appian Corporation. AppianVerse claims no ownership of or affiliation with Appian Corporation trademarks.

You retain ownership of your User Content but grant us the license described in Section 4. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the platform's practice exam questions, flashcard content, study guides, or other proprietary materials without explicit written permission.

9a. Expression Evaluator and Coding Practice

AppianVerse includes an independent expression evaluator that interprets Appian-style expression syntax in your browser. It is an original implementation written by AppianVerse for teaching purposes. It contains no Appian Corporation software, is not derived from Appian source code, and is neither licensed, endorsed, certified, nor supported by Appian Corporation.

By using the expression evaluator, coding practice, or any feature that runs expressions, you acknowledge and agree that:

• It is an approximation of the Appian expression language and its behaviour may differ from a real Appian environment
• Only a subset of Appian functions is supported, and supported functions may differ in edge cases, error messages, type handling, or return values
• Results must not be relied upon for production work, client deliverables, certification answers, or any decision where correctness matters — verify against a real Appian environment
• Function names and signatures are used descriptively, as required to teach and practise the language, and remain the property of their respective owner
• Behaviour may change without notice as the evaluator is corrected to more closely match documented Appian behaviour

10. No Warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT PRACTICE EXAM SCORES OR STUDY MATERIALS WILL REFLECT PERFORMANCE ON OFFICIAL APPIAN CERTIFICATION EXAMS, OR THAT THE EXPRESSION EVALUATOR WILL PRODUCE THE SAME RESULTS AS A REAL APPIAN ENVIRONMENT.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL APPIANVERSE, ITS OPERATORS, ADMINISTRATORS, DEVELOPERS, AFFILIATES, OR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your use or inability to use the Service
• Any disclosure, loss, or misuse of sensitive information you post
• Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data
• Any conduct or content of third parties on the Service
• Reliance on practice exam scores, study materials, or flashcard content for certification outcomes
• Loss of gamification progress, points, streaks, or achievements
• Any other matter relating to the Service

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AppianVerse, its operators, administrators, developers, affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, actions, or demands, including without limitation reasonable legal and accounting fees, alleging or resulting from:

• Your use of the Service
• Any User Content you submit, post, or transmit through the Service
• Your violation of these Terms & Conditions
• Your violation of any third-party right, including any privacy, intellectual property, or other proprietary right
• Sharing of official certification exam content or other proprietary materials on the platform

13. Content Moderation and Removal

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to remove, edit, or moderate any User Content at our sole discretion, without notice, for any reason or no reason, including violation of these Terms & Conditions. We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or integrity of any User Content posted on the Service. All submitted interview questions and experiences are subject to approval before publication.

14. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms & Conditions or engage in any conduct that we deem harmful to other users, third parties, or us. Grounds for termination include but are not limited to:

• Creating multiple accounts to manipulate the gamification system
• Automated or bot-driven access to the Service
• Sharing, scraping, or redistributing practice exam content
• Posting spam, abusive, or inappropriate content
• Impersonating other users or misrepresenting your identity

15. Third-Party Services

The Service uses third-party providers for authentication (Google OAuth), data storage, and analytics. By using the Service, you acknowledge that your data may be processed by these third-party providers in accordance with their respective privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of any third-party services integrated with the platform.

16. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. We will notify users of any material changes via the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms & Conditions.

17. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts with appropriate authority.

20. Appian Interview Practice and AI Features

AppianVerse includes an Appian Interview Practice feature. It assembles a mock interview from our question bank, from interview experiences other users have shared, and — if you choose the AI option while signed in — from questions written for you by a third-party AI service. By using it, you agree to the following.

Resume uploads are optional

• You may use the feature without uploading anything. Practice mode requires no account and makes no AI call.
• If you do upload a resume, its text is sent once to our AI provider so that a fixed list of signals can be extracted. We do not store the file or its text — see Section 2.4 of our Privacy Policy for exactly what is kept.
• Only upload a resume that is yours to share. Do not upload a document containing another person's personal data, your employer's confidential information, or anything covered by an NDA.
• You can delete your stored resume signals at any time from the interview setup screen.

Job descriptions you paste

A job description you paste is used to target your questions and is sent to our AI provider. Do not paste confidential material, and remove any names, contact details or internal information before pasting.

Fair use

• AI interviews carry a real per-session cost to us, so the number available to each account in a calendar month may be limited. Practice mode is not limited.
• You must not automate, script or otherwise bulk-run the feature, attempt to extract our question bank through it, or use it to generate content for a competing service.
• You must not attempt to manipulate the AI through instructions embedded in an uploaded resume or pasted job description.
• We may withdraw, limit or change the feature at any time, including switching it off entirely.

Interview sessions you run while signed in are stored against your account so you can review them. Sessions run without signing in are not stored at all.
