Both are task-related properties, but they serve different purposes and are often confused in interviews.
tp!assignee
What it means
- The user or group responsible for completing the task.
- This is who the task is assigned to.
Key Points
- Appears in Tempo / Task Inbox
- Can be:
- A user
- A group
- Can be reassigned
- Determines who can claim and complete the task
Example
Task assigned to: Loan Officers Group
➡ Any member of that group can claim and complete the task.
tp!owner
What it means
- The original owner (creator) of the task.
- Usually the user or process that created the task.
Key Points
- Used mainly for tracking and auditing
- Does NOT control task access
- Does not change when the task is reassigned
- Often a service account for system-generated tasks
tp!assignee means who has accepted a task or who it is assigned to, tp!owner means who completed this task)
