I had a technical interview for a Junior Appian Developer role. The interview mainly focused on core Appian concepts and real-time practical scenarios rather than only theoretical questions.

We discussed topics like:

1. Expression rules
2. Rule inputs
3. Record types
4. Process models
5. Smart services
6. Interfaces

How data is retrieved and displayed in an Appian application

I was also asked about SQL basics, query optimization, and how to troubleshoot issues when a process model or interface is not working as expected.

In addition, there were questions about my debugging approach, creating reusable components, following best practices, and handling enterprise automation requirements in a maintainable way.

Overall, the interview was technical, detailed, and mostly based on real Appian development scenarios.
