Interview Process

Interview Type: Virtual (2 rounds)

I interviewed for a Junior Appian Developer position. The first round was with a recruiter who asked about my background, experience with Appian, and why I wanted to work with low-code development.

The second round was a technical interview with two Appian developers. They asked questions about Appian Records, Process Models, Interfaces, Expressions, and Security. I was also asked to explain how I would build a simple approval workflow and when I would use a Process Model versus an Interface. There was no live coding, but they presented several scenario-based questions.

Overall, the interview focused more on understanding Appian concepts and best practices than memorizing syntax. They also asked behavioral questions about teamwork and problem solving.
