Interview Process

Total 3 rounds

  1. Screening Round
  2. Technical Round
  3. HR Round

Questions Asked

Screening Round:

The first round focused on basic details about my current project and some fundamental Appian questions.

Key questions included:

  1. What is the overall flow of your project?
  2. What is your role and daily responsibilities?
  3. How do you remove null values from an array?
  4. What is an environment constant in Appian?
  5. …and a few similar basic-level questions.

Technical Round:

The second round was conducted by two interviewers, who were quite direct and focused mostly on process model–related concepts.

Some of the key questions were:

  1. How do you configure MNI (Multiple Node Instances)?
  2. Have you used MNI in your project? If yes, explain with an example.
  3. How do you handle errors in MNI, and what are its limitations?
  4. Have you worked on any integrations? If yes, how do you handle integration errors?
  5. Have you ever mentored or guided junior Appian developers?

Overall, there were around 6–7 technical questions, mostly around process models and error handling.

Although I cleared the rounds, I decided to reject the IBM offer after realizing there were multiple pending issues in their project, including broken flows and heavy workload expectations. I identified several red flags during the discussion and chose not to proceed further.
