Interview Process

I applied through LinkedIn for a position at a startup company. The first round was with the CTO, and the second round was with an Appian developer from ICF.

Questions Asked

The interview was quite easy and mainly focused on my previous project and some basic Appian concepts.

They asked questions like:

  1. What is the difference between a Sub-Process and a Start Process Smart Service?
  2. What is an Environment Constant?
  3. If you add a new field to the database, how do you update it in the CDT?
  4. How do you identify performance risks in your environment?
  5. What steps do you take to improve an interface that is loading slowly?
  6. If a client requests functionality that is outside standard Appian capabilities, how would you implement it?

The overall discussion was friendly, and at the end, the interviewer even explained the answers to the questions I couldn’t answer.
